A young soldier from the Fort Belknap Reservation of Montana returned home on Sunday after a near deadly experience in Iraq.

Sgt. Brandi King, 24, was greeted at the airport by more than 30 family members from the Fort Belknap and Blackfeet reservations. King told The Great Falls Tribune, "This is probably one of the best moments of my life."

King was almost a victim of a deadly December 22 attack in Mosul, Iraq. A rocket hit a tent where she usually eats lunch, but she happened to be late that day because she was checking her e-mail. Twenty Americans, including 15 soldiers, and 66 other people were killed.
