Two Arizona tribes say they are willing to host the Cactus League spring training teams on their reservations.
The Salt River-Maricopa Indian Community and the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation say hosting a team presents a good economic opportunity. Both tribes have casinos and hotels on their reservations.
Gov. Janet Napolitano (D) wants to lure Cactus League teams to the state. She formed the Arizona Baseball and Softball Commission and appointed Joni Ramos, president of the Salt River Tribe as a member.
