High school students exchange culture, debate

High school students from the Navajo Nation and Farmington, New Mexico, participated in a cross-cultural exchange last week.

The Red Mesa High School on the reservation played host to 20 students from the Farmington High School debate team. The Farmington students received a lesson in Navajo traditions and then held a debate for the Red Mesa students.

Red Mesa extended the invitation because the school is planning to hold its own debate. Farmington's team is nationally recognized.
