Montana Natives take center stage at inaugural ball

Members of Montana's tribes took center stage at an inaugural ball for Gov. Brian Schweitzer (D) Saturday night.

Jimmy St. Goddard, a Blackfeet Nation council member, ushered Schweitzer into the ballroom, kicking off an evening of traditional songs and dances for the new governor. "He's done more for Indian Country in a month and a half than the other 23 governors in Montana history," Rep. Jonathon Windy Boy, a Democrat, was quoted as saying.

The ball was one of three held for Schweitzer.
