The first-year superintendent for a public school on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in South Dakota has been placed on leave.
Frances Harris was put on leave on January 26 after the school board accused her of violating ethical standards. She will have a hearing next week on her status.
Harris has been serving as superintendent at the Wakpala school.
