The FBI and the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians are investigating the theft of artifacts from the tribe's museum in Indio, California.
The tribe's police department said the items, which included several pots and baskets, were worth more than $100,000. Some of the artifacts were on loan from the state of California. [PDF: Photos]
The theft occurred during an early morning burglary on January 11. Anyone with information is asked to call FBI Special Agent Joseph K.
