Citizen Potawatomi vice-chair shares success story

Linda Capps, vice-chair of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation in Oklahoma, credits her family with her success in helping run one of the largest tribes in the country.

Capps has been serving as vice-chair since 1990. She says her husband, children and extended family are interested in seeing the tribe succeed. That keeps her going, she says.

Capps is a former teacher who now serves on the boards of trustees for two colleges. She and her husband have run two businesses. She won the Small Business Administration's "Oklahoma Minority Advocate of the Year" award in 1997.
