Rep. Denny Rehberg (R-Montana) has canceled his appearance at debate being hosted by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes.
The debate was to occur Monday but Rehberg said he can't make it because of an upcoming House vote. His staff said he tried to reschedule the debate.
But Democratic opponent Tracy Velazquez is crying foul. She accused Rehberg of being cowardly and of failing to respect Native Americans.
The debate at Salish Kootenai College was to be the fourth and final of the campaign.
