The Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin has purchased a 40-acre property in a suburb of Chicago.
The newly renamed Ho-Chunk Sports Complex will play host to indoor soccer matches. The tribe might expand the facility to include other athletic amenities.
The property is located in Lynwood, where the tribe has proposed building a casino. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Illinois) has introduced a bill to have land placed in trust for a major facility.
