Omaha Tribe's genealogy in hands of dedicated man

A two-year assignment from the Department of Interior more than 40 years ago has turned into a lifelong passion for Paul Brill.

The 73-year-old historian has painstakingly documented the genealogy of the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska. His records go back to the early 1700s.

Tribal members consider Brill the ultimate source of information. He went back to the reservation to present a program on the tribe's genealogy in connection with the Lewis and Clark bicentennial.
