Ka`chi Lobo Golden is the last living speaker of the Acjachemen language. But she says it will eventually make a return even when she goes away.
Golden is known as the "Revealer" of her tribe. She teaches a few select students a version of the language used in ceremonies and for spiritual purposes.
The Acjachemen Tribe, also known as the Juaneo Band of Mission Indians, is one of the smallest in the state. The tribe is waiting for an answer on its petition for federal recognition.
