Former Indian affairs assistant secretary Eddie F. Brown is the new director of American Indian Studies at Arizona State University.
Brown is a member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona. He said it was great to be back home at ASU, where he was an associate professor.
Brown ran the BIA during the first Bush administration. He was most recently director of the Center for American Indian Studies at Washington University in St. Louis.
