Arizona tribes using tourism to boost economy

Arizona tribes are looking to tourism to boost economies on their reservations.

Some tribes have hired tourism managers and have developed plans to manage tourists. For the Hopi Tribe, that means opening up villages to the public for special dances. Normally, ceremonies are closed to outsiders.

The Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation created a task force to develop tourism options, the tribe's tourism manager said. The tribe has a golf course, casino and ranch.
