Santee Sioux pow-wow returns to original location

The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe of South Dakota is hosting its 42nd annual wacipi this weekend.

This year, the wacipi will return to the banks of the Big Sioux River where it started in 1962. With the help of a $330,000 Scenic Byways grant, the tribe made improvements to the site.

The wacipi starts Friday and runs through Sunday.
