The Muckleshoot Tribe of Washington is marketing its own brand of salmon.
The wild sockeye salmon went on sale at Safeway this week. According to The Tacoma News Tribune, this is the first time a tribe has struck a deal to market fresh salmon at a major grocery chain.
Muckleshoot Seafood Products, the tribe's seafood line, is expected to gross $1 million this year.
