Indian Democrats plan big showing at convention

Indian Democrats are expecting the largest turnout ever at the national party's convention later this month.

Gwen Carr, head of the Indian Democratic Caucus, told The Native American Times the goal is to get Indian issues heard at the convention. She said top priorities are sovereignty and gaming.

The Democratic National Convention will be held in Boston, Massachusetts, from July 26-29. The Republican National Convention is being held in New York City from August 30-September 2.
