The Morongo Band of Mission Indians of California is donating $1 million to help victims of recent fires rebuild their homes.
The money will be used to help elders of the San Pasqual Band. Nearly every home on the San Pasqual Reservation was lost to fire.
The tribe is giving the money to the San Diego chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
