Three First Nations in Manitoba have purchased a rail line that was being shut down.
The Mathias Colomb First Nation, the War Lake First Nation and the Tataskweyak Cree Nation formed a company to buy the rail line for $7 million.
The federal and provincial governments helped with financing.
The First Nations will pay the Omnitrax rail company to operate the line for two years before they assume complete management.
