Cherokee hip-hop mogul Litefoot is upset the Rev. Jesse Jackson did not attend last weekend's Gathering of Nations pow-wow to promote racial healing after the Grammy incident involving OutKast.
Litefoot invited Jackson to the event in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jackson said he would come and try to bring OutKast member Andre 3000, according to Lifefoot's publicist.
Litefoot wanted Andre to apologize for depicting Indian culture during his Grammy performance. Andre, his dancers and others on stage wore fake Indian outfits and headdresses. The incident sparked outcry among many Indians.
