Cheyenne-Arapaho employees, vendors won't get paid

Dozens of employees and vendors for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma won't get paid due to an ongoing dispute with the BIA.

The tribe cut off programs that were funded by the BIA. This means 42 employees and 16 vendors for those programs won't get paid, The Daily Oklahoman reports.

The BIA is disputing a number of actions taken by the tribe's business committee, including the election of James Pedro as the business committee chairman. There is also a dispute over treasurer Ed Whiteskunk.
