The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma has legalized the sale of alcohol by some tribal businesses.
The Cherokee Legislature approved liquor sales and now the tribe's tax commission will sort out how licenses will be granted and to whom. The main reason for the change was to allow alcohol at new restaurant, golf course and hotel scheduled to open at a casino in Catoosa.
