Haskell Indian Nations University is loaning a two-ton marble sculpture by Apache artist Allan Houser to the new National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C.
"Comrade in Mourning" will be on display at NMAI for a year. Haskell officials said they are excited to participate in the opening of the new museum.
Opening ceremonies for the museum will take place the week of September 21, 2004.
