Tribes in New England are meeting in Connecticut for the New England Tribal Environmental Training Conference.
The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut and the Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts are co-hosting the event. Tribes, scientists, engineers and government representatives are sharing technology and ideas.
As part of the conference, the Mohegan Tribe opened the Energy, Environment, Economics and Education Center at its power plant. The tribe is showcasing environmental-friendly initiatives.
