A decision on whether to allow a housing development near the gravesite of Old Chief Joseph, a Nez Perce leader, was delayed this week.
Wallowa County commissioners debated an appeal filed by three tribes against the project. They say the tribal cemetery will be negatively impacted.
The commissioners plan to meet again next week to consider the issue.
