The Senate Indian Affairs Committee is holding two hearings on President Bush's fiscal year 2005 budget request.
The hearings will take place February 4 and February 11. Witness lists have not been posted on the committee's web site.
Under the leadership of Sens. Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-Colo.) and Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii), the committee has held dozens of budget-related hearings in the past couple of years. Officials from the Interior, Education, Health and Human Services, Justice and Agriculture have testified about their funding requests and how they affect Indian Country.
