Six families from the Enoch Cree First Nation in Alberta haven't been allowed to return home due to a dangerous gas well whose leak forced an evacuation of the reserve.
The 52-year-old well is owned by Acclaim Energy. The company says it is trying to secure the well but the chief of the Enoch Cree Nation wants it removed.
The leak forced the evacuation of the entire reserve on Sunday. Shortly after residents returned home on Monday, it exploded into fire. The families living closest to the well are staying elsewhere while the problem is being addressed.
