The Gila River Indian Community is expected to announce its purchase of the 33-year-old Rawhide Western Town & Steakhouse, according to news reports.
The cowboy town, its restaurant and other buildings were put up for sale. The tribe was one of several groups interested in the property.
The tribe is expected to relocate the town to the reservation and rebuild it near the casino. Plans call for the creation of an Indian village, train rides and a rodeo arena.
