The Blackfeet Nation of Montana has allowed a non-profit organization to continue weatherization of homes on the reservation.

The tribe had ordered Crews from Opportunities Inc. off the reservation for violating the tribe's Indian preference law. The group was accused of not hiring qualified Indians for the weatherization work.

But Crews has promised to train tribal members for future jobs. The organization has a $130,000 federal grant to add weather stripping, insulation and other money-saving improvements to low-income homes.
