The Chippewa Cree Tribe of Montana held a special election on Friday for an open seat on the business committee.
Former longtime chairman Alvin Windy Boy Sr. won the election with 139 votes. He defeated nine other candidates.
The seat was vacated by John "Chance" Houle when he was elected chairman. Houle defeated Windy Boy in November.
