Tribal, state and federal authorities have arrested four men in connection with cattle theft on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
Police say the men stole cattle and put their own brands on the animals. The men allegedly tried to sell some of the cattle.
Walter Schultz Jr., 40, Ronald Jensen, 65, and Howard Hunter Jr., 32, face numerous felony charges in state and federal court. Hunter is an Oglala Sioux tribal member.
A fourth man, Charles "Butch" Divan, 56, who previously pleaded guilty to possession of stolen property, faces more chargers after authorities found cattle that didn't belong to him on his ranch.
