An Alaska state trooper has been charged with 11 felonies for the rape, kidnap and assault of four women from Native villages in western Alaska.
Daniel L. Scott, 44, was arrested and jailed in Anchorage. The 18-year veteran of the force is accused of assaulting women in Aniak and Bethel.
Residents of Aniak were shocked by the news. Scott was one of five troopers based in the small village of 550.
