The Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians in North Dakota is hoping to attract more business to the reservation.
Business owners from Detroit, Michigan, are spending two days on the reservation this week. On Wednesday, the Detroit group met with tribal leaders, toured the reservation and learned more about opportunities that exist. Today, the group will learn more about tribal culture.
No deals were made but councilman Les LaFountain said the visit was about building relationships. The tribe is making contacts with a number of businesses.
