A new National Museum of American History exhibition on the military history of the United States includes presentations on wars against tribes
"The Price of Freedom: Americans at War" features the "Eastern Indian Wars" and the "Western Indian Wars." The Eastern Indian section includes a display on the Trail of Tears. The Western Indian section includes the Battle of Little Bighorn.
The exhibition was timed to open for Veteran's Day. Washington Post reviewer Thomas E. Ricks says it is worth a visit, noting that "the wars against the Indians are presented as an important part of American history."
