The vice chief of the Mississippi Band of Choctaws was arrested this week and charged with public drunkenness and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Gerald Stoliby, 36, and two others were arrested after police found them in the middle of road early Monday morning. One companion, Vandell Willis, 35, was discovered with a small amount of cocaine.
Police filed a number of charges against the men, including possession of alcohol, littering, public drunkenness and possession of drugs. The amount of marijuana Stoliby allegedly possessed only rises to a misdemeanor. Willis faces harsher penalties for possession of cocaine.
