The Gila River Indian Community is donating $1 million to the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona.
The money will be use to help pay for a new permanent exhibit called "Home: Native Peoples in the Southwest." The exhibit costs $7.6 million and is expected to open in May.
The donation is the largest the tribe has made. It was possible through gaming revenues.
