Geri Small, the first woman president of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana, lost her bid for re-election on Tuesday.
Small lost by 200 votes to Eugene Littlecoyote, The Billings Gazette reported.
Voters chose Rick Wolfname for vice president over Allen E. Fisher.
Five council seats and two judgeships were also filled on Tuesday.
