Herseth to wrap up campaign with reservation visits

Freshman Rep. Stephanie Herseth (D-South Dakota) will spend the last days of her campaign with visits to several reservations.

On Sunday, Herseth will hold rallies on the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation, the Lower Brule Sioux Reservation, the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation and the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation.

On Monday, the last day before the election, Herseth will go to the Pine Ridge Reservation and the Rosebud Sioux Reservation.

Herseth is the state's sole member of the House of Representatives. She was elected in June in a special election. The overwhelming majority of Indians voted for her, sending her over the top in a close race against Republican Larry Diedrich, who is running again.
