Glojean Todacheene, a member of the Navajo Nation, said she is running for public office to bring about change.
Todacheene said she will bring new ideas to the San Juan County Clerk's office. She hopes to build relationships with the Navajo Nation.
Todacheene, an educator, wants to focus on bringing more Natives to the polls."I come across many individuals who dont think its important, but what happens in elections influences their taxes and different parts of their lives. They need to be a part of the process," she told The Farmington Daily Times.
