Reservation trailer parks ordered to test water

The Environmental Protection Agency has ordered the owners of four trailer parks on the Torres Martinez Desert Cahuilla Reservation in California to test the water supply to make sure it is safe, The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports.

The Torres Martinez Desert Cahuilla Tribe asked the EPA for assistance because the parks are located on allotted land. An administration said the tribe had "limited enforcement ability" over the owners.

More than 2,000 residents live in the trailer parks. The EPA wants the water tested for a number of contaminants.
