A federal jury cleared a bank of discriminating against a member of the Crow Tribe of Montana who said he was terminated because of his race and his age.
Burton Pretty On Top Sr. said a bank official make a joke about his age and that other employees did not like him because he is Indian. He was 54 at the time of his hiring.
The bank official apologized but Pretty on Top pursued his bias claim after he was fired. The jury found in the bank's favor after about two hours of deliberations, The Billings Gazette reported.
