Thirteen Washington tribes have endorsed Sen. Patty Murray (D-Washington) for re-election.
Murray is seeking her third term. She is running against Rep. George Nethercutt (R-Washington).
The tribes endorsing Murray are: Quinault Indian Nation, Tulalip Tribes, Colville Confederated Tribes, Lummi Nation, Puyallup Tribe, Swinomish Tribal Community, Nooksack Tribe, Quileyute Tribe, Upper Skagit Tribe, Makah Tribe, Nisqually Tribe, Chehalis Tribe and Samish Nation.
Washington tribes played a role in helping Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Washington) defeat Republican Slade Gorton.
