Thanks to federal contracting programs for minority-owned companies, John Gilbert has seen been able to expand his small, family-run business.
Gilbert, a member of the Little Shell Chippewa Tribe of Montana, owns Silver Wolf Enterprises. Revenue has grown from $200,000 a year to more than $12 million in government contracts.
Silver Wolf is a certified dealer in appliances, industrial equipment and other products. Gilbert was named 2004 Minority Small Business Person for Montana by the Small Business Administration.
