Classes started at the new high school on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community in Arizona.
The school replaces an older facility that didn't have as many new amenities. Serving grades 7 through 12, Salt River High has a cafeteria, gymnasium, updated classroom equipment, science labs and a library.
The school costs $22 million. The tribe operates a successful casino.
