Australian tribe obtains order to reclaim artifacts

An Australian tribe has invoked a national law in order to prevent traditional artifacts from being taken to a museum in Britain.

The Dja Dja Wurrung asked for an emergency order covering two bark etchings and a ceremonial headdress. The items were made by tribal ancestors 150 years ago.

The British Museum had loaned the artifacts to a museum in Australia. They were due to be taken back to Britain this week.
