Northern Cheyenne students show gains on test


Public school students on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana have shown a 14 percent improvement in proficiency.

Based on results from the spring standardized tests, 47 percent of first- through 11th-grade students were proficient. This was up from 33 percent last year.

Fourth-graders showed some of the better gains. Proficiency on the language arts, science, math and social studies went up by as much as 33 percent.
