Canadian scientists have delayed the attempted capture of an orca out of respect for the Mowachaht-Muchalaht of British Columbia.
Tribal members believe Tsux'iit, whom scientists call Luna, is the spiritual embodiment of a late chief. They have been preventing the Department of Fisheries and Oceans from capturing the friendly killer whale.
The tribe has agreed to allow the recapture sometime this week.
