Two new members were elected along with three incumbents for the board of Cook Inlet Region Inc., an Alaska Native regional corporation.

The two new members are from a group called Alliance for the Future of CIRI. The group has been critical of the corporation leadership for making few profitable deals and unwise investments.

CIRI chief executive Carl Marrs says the group's charges are unfounded. CIRI has paid out $630 million in dividends during Marrs' tenure and its assets have grown by 48 percent.
