The Grey Fox Drum Group was allowed to sing a Dakota honor song at the University of North Dakota's law school graduation on Saturday.
School officials had denied the request for an honor song but relented after facing criticism from students and some faculty.
A record 50 Indian students representing 15 tribes were graduating this spring from UND. One was law school graduate Debra Flute-White, whose brother heads the drum group.
