The recently elected president of the Ketchikan Tribe of Alaska is facing a recall petition over alleged misuse of funds and other charges.
Stephanie Rainwater-Sande, who was elected in January, is accused of using funds without obtaining approval from the tribal council. She denies any wrongdoing.
Tribal council member Elmer Makua is leading the recall. The recall petition needs 208 signatures.
