More than 900 people attended the funeral on Tuesday for Paul Dexter Morning Jr., a member of the Crow Tribe of Montana who was killed days before his graduation.
Friends and teachers from Skyview High School in Billings recalled Morning, 17, as a popular and outgoing student who always had a smile on his face. He was a member of the wrestling team.
Morning was stabbed at a party on the Crow Reservation last Thursday. Two young men are in tribal custody on charges related to the death.
